Texas politics and business go hand in hand.

I try to make connections to real life events and inject some of the more colorful aspects of Texas culture into the course.

Here are some examples:

1) Once a Texas Governor locked himsef in the capital and refused to come out

2) A Texas Governor once said, "If Texas Teachers want a pay raise they should get a summer job."

3) A Texas Ranger who arrived to stop a riot was asked asked if he was the only officer sent to which he replied, "You have more than one riot?"
