Political Party TV Ads

Projects Criteria Intro

Introduction:

Below you can read the criteria. However, I think it is important to for me to make a few points before the reader looks over the finished projects.

First, I did not pick out which party or topic students could or could not cover. We watched some of the great TV ads of election years past and spent a few days studying both the Democrat and Republican party platforms.

The viewer will notice that many more students made ads for republicans than for democrats and that was their choice not my bias. In fact I only had one group submit a Democratic party ad which is posted.

Student topics included education, abortion, terrorism, taxes, drunk driving, domestic abuse, among others. I was very pleased how they went about building TV ads based on real party positions.

Overall, I would say that this project was a learning experience that helped students focus their study and integrate technology into the classroom. I hope you enjoy looking over the work of these young scholars. If you have any comments or thoughts feel free to contact me.
