Moot Court

Intro
Introduction:
Welcome to moot court a hands on learning experience for a unit on the US court system.
This years case was about the robbery of a gas station.
The reader will note that students were given the basics of the case and a profile. The lawyers and participants charted their own path.
Students from other classes were drawn to sit as a jury. These students were given the law in question and then left to decide for themselves.
This exercise was very popular with most of the student body turning out to watch at least a part of the case.
Overall, I would say that this project was a learning experience that helped students focus their study and integrate technology into the classroom. I hope you enjoy looking over the photos of our court sessions. If you have any comments or thoughts feel free to contact me.

Students will be graded on how well they present themselves.
Knowledge
The student is responsible for learning his or her role and the case material.
Peer Cooperation
The student will be an active and integral part of either the prosecution or defense.
Prep Time
The group or student shall make wise and productive use of their time leading up to the case.
